Just pure natural music

Here’s an old review from Tom Johnson, a music reviewer who wrote for the Village Voice for years, often writing about concerts that wouldn’t have been covered otherwise.  While classical music reviews tend to be ephemeral and largely forgotten over time (except by diligent phd candidates), this one seems to reappear over time.  Maybe sometimes we need that reminder to get back to “just pure natural music.”

ZeFrank and Thoughts on Audience

I’m not sure how exactly ZeFrank would be catagorized.  He’s a new type of artist who takes advantage of the internet and its capability, especially in terms to interacting and collaborating with others (for his own description, check out his TED 2004 talk.  If you haven’t seen any of the TED talks online, for shame!).  There’s tons of fun stuff on his website, and his “The Show” was enormously popular when it aired online (you can still watch it).  Recently, he posted some questions about creating work for an audience:
