Bassoon Lessons

Recently relocated, Ms. Gsell has a bassoon lesson studio in Auckland, New Zealand.  For the past five years, her studios in Texas and New York have been very successful, and her students consistently win awards at regional competitions and honour bands.  She has also worked as a teaching artist for Young Audiences of America, Inc., the largest arts-in-education provider in the US.

She can help you work toward your goals, including to:

• begin playing bassoon
• switch to bassoon from another instrument
• get better chair placements in ensembles
• work toward honour band seats or competitions
• learn to make reeds
• practice for college auditions
• sound better and learn music faster
• have more fun playing music

For larger groups and schools, she is available for bassoon demonstrations and masterclasses.  Ms. Gsell has taught masterclasses across the United States and in Australia.  Ms. Gsell also gives classical music listening workshops as well as coaching to chamber music ensembles and outreach groups.

Ms. Gsell also sells her own handcrafted reeds.
